A leading international insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Senior Account Handler to support large,plex Financial Institutions accounts within a specialist operations function. This is a highly technical role focused on London Market administration, MRC slips, andplex tax schedules, working with some of the most high-profile clients in the sector.
Your new role
In your role as a Senior Account Handler, you will be responsible for the administration of high‑value andplex accounts, ensuring accuracy,pliance and first‑class internal client service. You will work closely with client-facing teams to administerprehensive account renewals and will ensure that all documentation, including tax schedules and regulatory requirements, ispleted accurately and in line with London Market standards. You will be carrying out technical duties such as data entry, preparation ofpliant Market Reform Contracts, quotes, indications and endorsements, consistently maintaining high standards of accuracy and service delivery. The role will also involve onboarding new clients, including thepletion of due diligence checks and sanctions screening.
Your role will include collaborating with colleagues to manage and prioritise workload effectively, ensuring both individual and team objectives are met. A key part of the role will be providing specialist internal support on tax matters relevant to Financial Institutions placements, while ensuringpliance with current legislation and market practices. The role also involves handling enquiries from internal stakeholders, insurers and third parties, responding professionally and in a timely manner. You will also be expected to remain up to date with regulatory changes, tax requirements and London Market developments, ensuring all activities are conducted in line with applicable guidelines.
In addition, you will mentor and support junior account handlers, promoting best practice in relation to London Market protocols, slip production and large account management. You will build strong relationships with central service functions and senior stakeholders, understand escalation procedures, and take accountability for the timely provision of documentation as part of the overall client service proposition.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in insurance broking, account handling or insurance operations, ideally working with large andplex Financial Institutions or multi‑jurisdictional placements. You will have strong technical knowledge of the full insurance lifecycle, including London Market practices, slips and tax considerations. You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to managepeting priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strongmunication and negotiation skills are essential, particularly when dealing with internal stakeholders and presentingplex information clearly. Experience mentoring junior colleagues is highly desirable, as is professional qualification such as ACII or equivalent. You will bemercially aware, proactive in improving processes, resilient under pressure andfortable adapting to change. Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft applications, electronic placing platforms and internal broking systems, are also essential.
