Mentor Role – Didsbury (M20) Make a difference outside the classroom. At TP Tutors, we’re seeking compassionate and proactive mentors to work with young people across Didsbury (M20) who need extra support to re-engage with learning. This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone with a background in education, youth work, or pastoral care. You’ll be delivering 1:1 sessions that combine academic support with personal development — helping pupils improve confidence, attendance, and motivation. Sessions take place in the community, such as at the pupil’s home or a nearby library, offering a calm and supportive setting that encourages progress at a pace that suits each learner. What you’ll be doing Supporting pupils with social, emotional, or behavioural barriers Providing structure, encouragement, and consistent mentoring Helping young people reintegrate into education and build resilience Delivering engaging sessions in core subjects where needed What we’re looking for We’d love to hear from you if you have experience working with young people — whether as a teacher, tutor, teaching assistant, or youth mentor. Strong communication skills, patience, and a nurturing approach are key. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) is essential.
