Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Social Worker Band 6 to work within one of our Adult Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS) via a bank contract, based in Welwyn Garden City for our Adult Community Services Team. You will be joining our Temporary Staffing Team within HPFT – Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities
You will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality social care services to adults of all ages experiencing mental ill-health. Core functions of the role include:
* Assessment, care planning and coordination of care from a social perspective for adults accessing the service.
* Delivering recovery-focused care and support to service users and their carers, emphasizing choice, control, independence and safety.
* Acting as a champion of social care and safeguarding within your locality.
* Actively addressing adversity and supporting adults at risk of social inclusion.
* Championing equality and diversity, and challenging discrimination in all its forms.
* Maintaining a caseload of adults with a wide range of mental‑health and social care needs.
* Engaging in continuous reflection, professional development and compliance with Social Work England standards.
* Working in partnership with service users and carers to empower them and improve services through feedback.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Experience working in a healthcare setting.
* Ability to drive is beneficial; a disability preventing driving (as defined by the Equality Act 2010) is acceptable.
* Commitment to continuous professional development in accordance with Social Work England standards.
