Position: Principal Hardware Test Engineer

Experience needed: A skilled test engineer with a strong background in electrical/electronic testing, new product introduction, and production test readiness within aerospace, defence, automotive, or complex manufacturing environments.
About the role:
Join a leading manufacturing team as a Principal Test Engineer, shaping how production testing is delivered for future systems and sub-systems. You will define test requirements and lead test readiness activities during prototype and initial development phases, ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality constraints. This hands-on role involves collaboration from early design through to production in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and maintain test requirements for new electrical/electronic systems.
2. Drive production test readiness and support testing of prototypes.
3. Develop process flows and test architecture with project teams.
4. Create and manage Manufacturing Test Requirement Specifications (MTRS).
5. Contribute to Process FMEAs and ensure test mitigations.
6. Collaborate with design and test equipment teams to develop test solutions.
7. Lead Production Readiness and Industrialisation Reviews for new products.
8. Estimate testing efforts and support validation of production costs.
9. Maintain test documentation and validation plans.
Requirements:
1. Strong background in digital and analogue electronics testing in manufacturing.
2. Understanding of electrical/electronic test principles and equipment.
3. Experience in defining test strategies, processes, and validation documentation.
4. Desirable: Exposure to RF technology and systems-level testing.
5. Beneficial: Experience in new product introduction and production test readiness.
