IT Support Technician – Washington area (occasional travel to other sites required)
I am working with a client near Washington in Tyne and Wear who is looking to recruit a friendly and experienced 1st / 2nd Line IT Support Technician / Technical Support for their busy in-house help desk. The role involves supporting all users via remote technologies.
As a Support Desk Technician, your responsibilities will include:
1. Answering incoming helpdesk enquiries and providing assistance to the 1st Line Support team to resolve customer issues.
2. Offering in-house support for more complex IT / Network / VOIP issues.
3. Server configuration and monitoring.
You will also be required to be hands-on with all server and desktop products, as well as various networking components such as routers, printers, and bespoke applications.
2nd Line IT Support Requirements:
* Previous experience working at 2nd Line level is required.
* Experience working within an MSP environment is preferred but not essential.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010 through 2019 & Office 365 Administration.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008.
* Knowledge of Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 2019.
* An understanding of networking protocols and devices.
As a Support Desk Technician, you should be friendly and possess excellent customer service skills, with relevant experience in a similar role.

Package:
The salary for this Support Desk Technician role is approximately £25.5k, comprising a £22k basic salary and a £3.5k car allowance.
