Business Development Manager
Location: Hybrid – Head office in South Yorkshire
Salary: £28,000–£40,000 DOE + Commission

Overview:
My client, a fast-growing creative agency with a strong presence in both the public and private sectors, is seeking a strategic and ambitious Business Development Manager. This is a key role that will support the agency’s continued growth across branding, content creation, and digital development services. The successful candidate will work closely with internal creative, strategy, and delivery teams to identify new opportunities, forge meaningful relationships, and shape the long-term commercial direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and secure new business leads, markets, and strategic partnerships
* Build and manage a strong and sustainable sales pipeline
* Deliver impactful sales presentations and lead negotiations through to successful close
* Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with company growth goals
* Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
* Follow up on inbound leads and represent the business in external meetings
* Collaborate with senior leadership on growth planning and market positioning
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients
* Provide market insights to support service expansion and innovation
* Help grow the agency’s presence within South Yorkshire and nationally
* Represent the brand professionally at industry events and client meetings
* Contribute to strategic partnership development and future team leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven track record in B2B lead generation and high-value sales within creative, branding, or digital agencies
* Strong understanding of digital marketing, web development, branding, and multimedia content
* Skilled in CRM and project management tools such as HubSpot and Monday.com
* Confident setting performance metrics and reporting on sales activity
* Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and tender submissions
* Commercially minded with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A collaborative and creative approach to business development
* Field sales experience with a valid UK driving licence
* Ambition to grow into a leadership role and help shape a future account management function
Location & Flexibility:
The role is based primarily at the company’s South Yorkshire head office, with flexible remote working offered where appropriate. Regular travel for client meetings and events will be required.
