A small, friendly accountancy practice in London N13 is looking for a Receptionist / Audio Typist / Bookkeeper to join the team. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work part-time or full-time depending on your skill set—particularly if you have bookkeeping experience. About the Role You will be based in the reception area of this practice providing essential secretarial and administrative support to four partners, along with potential support in bookkeeping tasks. On average, the role will include around 20 hours per week of secretarial/audio typing work, with additional hours available for candidates who can assist with professional work such as bookkeeping or data entry. Key Responsibilities * Audio typing and copy typing of correspondence, reports, and emails * Professional and accurate secretarial support * Greeting visitors, answering phones, and handling post * Filing, document preparation, and general admin duties * Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and reports * Optional: Bookkeeping duties, entering data into software (Sage, QuickBooks) * Optional: Writing up accounting records, assisting with payroll and accounts preparation Essential Skills & Experience * Previous secretarial experience * Accurate and efficient audio typing skills * Fluent in spoken and written English * Excellent telephone manner and organisational skills * Intermediate MS Word and working knowledge of Excel * Willingness to assist with general office tasks as required Desirable (for full-time candidates) * Bookkeeping knowledge and experience * Familiarity with Sage Accounts/Payroll and/or QuickBooks * Ability to assist accounting staff with data entry and records
