Some pupils need one person who truly gets them, and that could be you. We’re looking for a 1:1 Support Assistant who can offer steady, thoughtful support to a child who needs extra help to feel settled and confident throughout the school day.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building trust, celebrates small wins and knows how to bring calm to busy moments.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting one pupil throughout the day with learning, routines and emotional regulation
2. Using simple, structured approaches to help them communicate and stay engaged
3. Offering reassurance during transitions, sensory moments and tricky tasks
4. Working closely with teachers and support staff to keep expectations consistent
5. Encouraging confidence, independence and positive relationships
Who we’re looking for
6. Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs is helpful
7. A patient, steady and observant person who can adapt quickly
8. Someone who builds rapport easily and communicates with warmth
9. A team player who brings positivity, reliability and care
10. A genuine interest in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
