Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring that each client receives the highest standard of care. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support clients in maintaining their independence while adhering to their individual care plans.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Document and report any changes in clients' conditions or needs promptly.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
* Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes as needed.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
* Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
* Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication tasks.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
