Those Huge Small Victories

Our Teaching Assistants are fulfilled by making even the smallest positive changes in our young people. We celebrate these small wins, which we call 'huge small victories'. While they may seem minor, they collectively make a significant impact.

Get out what you put in

You will work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role is to help them learn, develop their abilities, and boost their self-esteem. Resilience and dedication are essential, and the rewards of seeing your pupils' progress are immense.

It can be challenging, but the positive steps your pupils take will make it worthwhile. At Witherslack Group, you'll receive full support, work with experienced colleagues, and be part of well-resourced environments to build a rewarding teaching career.

One of the best environments in SEND

Join Abbeywood School, established in 2019 in a newly refurbished building designed with pupils' needs in mind. Rated as Good by Ofsted, we serve young people with ADHD, ASD, Asperger's, and SEMH, offering a range of educational and vocational courses.

What we do for you

We value your hard work and offer a competitive salary and benefits, including:

* Training: Full induction and on-the-job training

* Holiday: Full school holidays

* Progression: Opportunities for career advancement within the group

* Flexible benefits: Options to customize benefits like life insurance

* Wellbeing: Access to wellbeing tools and employee assistance

* Medical cover: Reimbursements for opticians, dentists, and discounts

* Facilities: Modern, well-equipped working environments

* Referral scheme: £1,000 bonus per successful referral

* Pension: Contributory pension scheme (up to 5%)

Bring your whole-self to work

Our diverse workforce reflects the backgrounds of our pupils. To connect effectively, you'll need:

* A 'can do' attitude and team spirit

* Experience in a classroom (training provided if not)

* A genuine passion for supporting children's learning

* Enthusiasm and collaboration skills with therapists and teachers
