Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Orthopedic Technician role based in Borehamwood. The Orthopedic Technician will primarily assist in orthopedic patient care by applying and removing casts, splints, and braces. They will perform wound care as needed, offer guidance on post‑treatment care, and assist medical professionals in preparing for and conducting orthopedic procedures. The role also involves maintaining an organized and efficient working environment, ensuring equipment and supplies are clean and available for use, and accurately documenting patient treatments and progress. Collaboration with healthcare teams and providing education to patients are key aspects of the role.


Qualifications

* Proficiency in applying and removing casts and splints
* Knowledge and understanding of medical and orthopedic terminologies
* Experience in providing patient care within the field of orthopedics and general medicine
* Ability to provide clinically accurate splinting and manage patient assessments
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care
* Formal qualifications or training in healthcare, orthopedics, or a related field are advantageous
* Previous experience within a hospital or clinical setting is beneficial
