Job Description:
Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant
* Full-time/Long-term
* Special secondary school
* SEMH & ASD students
* 8:30am - 4:15pm
We work closely with a fantastic secondary special school in Swindon, which is looking for a TA to join them ideally immediately. The school supports students with various special needs, primarily focusing on SEMH & ASD.
Having placed candidates with this school over the last few years, I can attest that the retention rate is very high due to factors like a tight-knit team, rewarding work, and the opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives.
The role
The school is seeking a TA to support across various subjects, providing general classroom support and specific 1-1 assistance. A subject specialism is advantageous as it may prioritize you for certain classes, depending on the subject.
The role requires candidates to be resilient, proactive, and confident in managing challenging behavior. Experience working with secondary students, ideally in a school setting, is preferred.
Working with Long-term Teachers:
We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary, and Special Schools.
LTT was founded to provide a transparent, straightforward service to help candidates secure their next role. We emphasize delivering exceptional support, listening to your needs, and valuing your contributions.
Your dedicated consultant will understand your experience and preferences, providing regular updates on your application progress, compliance, and other roles of interest.
We are proud members of the REC, ensuring high standards of compliance. Working with us means receiving comprehensive support throughout the clearance process from your dedicated in-house compliance team.
Additionally, you will receive:
* Guarantee Pay Scheme opportunities
* Support for permanent roles
* Guidance during clearance and onboarding
* Support under the Agency Workers Regulations
* Interview preparation and advice
* Statutory employment rights, including sick pay, holiday pay, maternity and paternity pay
