NEMS Community Benefit Services (NEMS) is a not‑for‑profit social enterprise and a Company Limited by Guarantee, operating in Nottinghamshire for over 25 years. It serves a population of more than 1.2 million with urgent primary health‑care services across two registered locations and four bases. The workforce includes more than 370 healthcare professionals, including 150+ sessional GPs, 90+ substantive staff, 30+ agency workers and 140+ non‑healthcare staff.

Job Description
Clinical Governance and Quality of Care
* Lead on quality governance, ensuring robust systems for patient safety, clinical effectiveness and quality improvement are embedded across all services.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards from national bodies (NMC, NICE, NHSE) and demonstrate compliance against regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and plan for regulatory inspections and ongoing self‑assessment and improvement against the Care Quality Commission domains.
* Maintain strong working relationships with regulatory partners and other stakeholders, collecting intelligence and proactively managing risk.
* Implement internal quality assurance mechanisms and drive learning and improvement to address patient safety risks.
* Corporate responsibility for Safeguarding Adults and Children and Infection Prevention & Control, as delegated by the Chief Executive.
* Support the development of a patient‑focused organisational culture, with strong professional values and behaviours.
* Oversee patient clinical‑related feedback management and update policies and procedures with best practice.

* Lead efforts to continuously improve patient and family experience, acting as a patient champion.
* Partner with other Directors and Senior Leaders to build leadership and improvement capability across NEMS.
Strategic Leadership
* Advise the Board on strategic vision, values and objectives, ensuring alignment with national policy and statutory requirements.
* Maintain professional relationships and attend forums across the Integrated Care System.
* Develop external contacts and partnerships to benefit from best‑practice networks.
* Promote financial sustainability, maintain budget control and ensure productive working with all clinical staff.

* NMC registered Nurse with experience in an out‑of‑hospital environment.
* Master’s level qualification.
* Experience working clinically in a primary or urgent care setting.

* Evidence of working at an advanced level of clinical practice.
Experience

* Senior level nursing leadership with a proven track record.
