Our client is a highly successful global shopper marketing & commerce agency with a reputation for executing highly successful campaigns across FMCG & retail sectors.
Part of a global network, they have an amazing and unrivalled client base and the recent expansion of a global branded FMCG account (huge market leading consumer brands) means that they are now looking to appoint a London / South East based Account Manager (Hybrid – 2 days in the London office) who possesses a passion for all things shopper & commerce.
The Account Manager will lead the development of integrated communications for a global FMCG brand owner, working with the client and internal teams to lead strategic thinking, creative ideation and design development with local implementation across all shopper channels including instore, e-commerce and digital. There is likely to also be an additional focus on a new global shopper account (global retailer).
The Account Manager will have an agency background and 2+ years experience of omni-channel retail and shopper marketing. However, we will consider applications from agency account handlers (Account Managers and Senior Account Executives ready to step up) who have had some experience of shopper and retail as part of a broader campaign and want to develop their knowledge and experience of global shopper marketing.
The Role:
Account and Project Leadership
* Consolidation and interpretation of client briefs
* Managing timing plans to include hand off from our strategic partners, through to ideation and concept development and into assets and toolkits finalization
* Status reporting on projects and pro-active communication to ensure clients are fully informed of project progress
* Understand and familiar with a broad range of printed and digital shopper formats
* Ensure all output meets and exceeds client expectations and meet timelines
* Understanding of the brand portfolios and their respective global brand guidelines
* Organising and scheduling work with the team’s creative resources
Financial Management
* Profitability analysis
* Billing management, ensuring work is billed correctly and in a timely manner
* KPI performance monitoring
Client Development
* Develop, maintain and extend client relationships
* Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business and brands
* Retention and expansion of work streams across multiple retail and digital channels
* Manage client expectations in relation to project objectives, timelines, and budgets
Skills and Experience required:
* 2+ years of client services experience in a shopper agency environment
* Passionate and interested in Shopper Marketing, International retail, Innovation and trends.
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen with the ability to build and maintain solid client relationships
* Possess a successful track record of achievement in a similar agency role, an understanding of the marketing mix and, ideally, a good grasp of Customer Centricity and retail comms.
* Challenge the status quo, making key decisions and handling the consequences
* Demonstrate management skills, including administration, planning, cost/budget and project management, status reporting etc.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, must be shown for both internal and client proposals, presentation and training, together with good PC skills
* A friendly, proactive, positive team player with strong interpersonal/communication skills
* Confident and committed to high-quality output and service, with an eye for detail
