At Evri, every successful delivery starts with a smart plan. As a Regional Route Planner, you'll sit at the heart of our Final Mile operation, designing the routes that keep parcels moving efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. This is a hybrid role, but with real regional impact – your local knowledge will directly influence how deliveries happen on the ground. The role covers planning across the Central region, covering Basildon, Coventry, East Midlands, Ipswich, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Oxford, Ryton, Slough and Wellingborough. A strong understanding of these areas – including geography, traffic patterns and delivery challenges – will be a clear advantage. You'll work closely with Site Managers to ensure routes are practical and executable, while partnering with Regional Operational Managers to align plans with wider network objectives. From boosting Stops per Route to responding to volume fluctuations, your work will have a direct and measurable impact on efficiency and service performance.
Responsibilities
* Design and optimise delivery routes at postcode sector level to maximise Stops per Route.
* Balance productivity with service constraints such as delivery windows, driver hours, and vehicle capacity.
* Collaborate with Site Managers to ensure routes are practical and operationally achievable.
* Present routing strategies and changes to Regional Operational Managers for approval.
* Monitor performance metrics and identify optimisation opportunities.
* Maintain accurate routing and sector data within GeoPlan.
Qualifications
* Experience in route planning, logistics, or final mile parcel delivery operations.
* Proven ability to optimise routes for productivity and efficiency.
* Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel (or equivalent) capability.
* Experience using route optimisation or planning tools (GeoPlan or similar).
* Good knowledge of UK geography, with familiarity across the Central region advantageous.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
