Retail Butchery Customer-Facing Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Butcher to lead and develop our busy butchery team arcoss 2 sites. As Head Butcher, you will work across both sites (located with 8 miles of each other), maintaining the highest standards of product quality, customer service, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing:
Breaking down whole carcasses with precision and skill (beef, lamb, pork)
Jointing, boning, trimming, and portioning meat to specification
Preparing and producing sausages and other value-added products
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in all areas
Ensuring counters are well presented, stocked, and visually appealing
Assisting with stock control, waste management, and order preparation
Deliver outstanding customer service and build relationships with regular customers
Work closely with the management team to develop new product ranges and seasonal offerings
Monitor product costings and margins to ensure profitability is maintained
Support team members to ensure a positive and productive working environment
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in retail butchery, ideally in a senior role.
Full carcass breakdown skills.
Sausage-making preparation experience.
Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation methods, and pricing.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work across multiple locations and manage time effectively.
Must be cost and quality conscious.
A genuine passion for the butchery trade and a desire to continually improve and innovate.
