About You and the Role
As a Reservations Agent at The Newman, you will:
Embody our REAL People values in every guest interaction
Handle guest reservations with care and accuracy using Opera Cloud, SynXis, OpenTable, and Book4Time, managing bookings, amendments, and cancellations professionally
Use your knowledge of our rooms, food and beverage offering, spa experiences, and promotions to confidently guide guests and recommend the right options for their stay
Personalise each interaction by suggesting thoughtful extras and upgrades that enhance the guest experience and support revenue opportunities
Maintain accurate records of reservations, cancellations, and amendments, while ensuring guest profiles are consistently updated within Opera Cloud.
Develop strong rapport with guests and regular bookers over the telephone, delivering a warm and professional service that encourages guest loyalty and supports future business opportunities.
Assist in the coordination of group reservations, including entering and maintaining rooming lists, updating booking details, and ensuring payment arrangements are correctly processed.
Collaborate closely with Front Office, Spa, and F&B teams to ensure a seamless guest journey from booking through to departure
Be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays

Located in the heart of Fitzrovia, The Newman offers 81 beautifully designed rooms and suites, including a signature rooftop suite with a private terrace and dedicated wellness area.
Guests can enjoy an all-day Brasserie, Angelica inspired by Northern European flavours, alongside Gambit Bar, serving cocktails and local craft beers. The hotel also features an entire floor dedicated to Wellness and Spa, offering treatments, classes, and relaxation spaces.
