Counsellor

Our Auckland Henderson office is seeking an empathetic, experienced Counsellor for a fulfilling opportunity, giving you the tools you need to support people the way they deserve to be taken care of – the Habit Health way. This is a full-time permanent role (5 days a week) that requires Monday to Saturday availability, ensuring consistent service and operations throughout the week.
Responsibilities
* Deliver focused interventions so that clients ace coping mechanisms at work and life
* Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption
* Deliver counselling services via in-person, video and telehealth
* Deliver training to customer employees

Ideal Candidate
* A strong sense of others – we’re looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
* Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCA
* Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification and a minimum of five years of post-study experience in general counselling is required.
* Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT is desirable
* Can work independently and attend on-sites for psychological first aid.
* Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first-aid
