OVERVIEW: ELECTRICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
We are currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance professional with a genuine desire for people development.
You will be trained to teach, coach, and mentor young learners undertaking qualifications in Electrical Maintenance. You will be a time-served electrical professional with a Level 3 or above qualification.
The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment, and have a strong background in the Electrical industry. All qualifications and training are supplied by the employer.
THE ROLE OF THE ELECTRICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR:
To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of Electrical Engineering qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility (classroom-based delivery). Train learners towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.
We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player, and have a 'hands-on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
1. Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience as a time-served electrical engineer
2. Good communication and presentation skills
3. Experience of working with young people
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
1. A level 3 (or above) electrical qualification
2. Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
3. Teaching qualification (desirable)
4. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance
SALARY/BENEFITS:
1. £35,800 starting salary (Mon - Fri, 8.30am-4.30pm, early finish on a Friday)
