We are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join our current team of 14 engineers at our globally recognised manufacturing site in Birmingham.
As a household name in our industry, we annually turnover in excess of £300m and have reinvested this in our team through external PLC training and updated wiring regulations.
Our team has excellent longevity, with most of our engineers averaging over 15 years of service in maintenance. We are seeking someone who wants to remain within a business where your skills are valued.
The successful candidate's roles and responsibilities will include planned and reactive maintenance across a large-scale manufacturing site. This involves repairing and maintaining extrusion machines, rolling mills, steam boilers, large presses, and high-pressure water systems. PLC work will be a significant part of the role, mainly involving Allen Bradley and Rockwell systems.
Experience Required for the Maintenance Engineer:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in an industrial environment
* Basic knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley, Rockwell, etc.)
* Maintenance qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ, HNC, or an Indentured Apprenticeship
* Experience in a heavy industry environment would be highly beneficial
