HR Advisor – Shrewsbury
Permanent. Salary up to £33,000 plus excellent benefits. Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Overview
An established national organisation is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join its growing people team. The role offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, supporting a designated region of the UK while working remotely or on a hybrid basis. The Advisor will become a trusted resource for managers, helping them navigate employee relations matters and coaching them to manage situations effectively.
The Role
As Employee Relations Advisor, you will support managers across a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring issues are handled consistently, professionally and in line with company policy and employment legislation.
* Manage a busy and varied caseload, providing guidance on issues such as absence management and wellbeing cases, disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance and conduct issues, probationary reviews, flexible working requests, workplace investigations and general employee relations enquiries.
Rather than taking ownership of every case from start to finish, you will act as a coach and subject matter expert, equipping managers with the knowledge to manage employee relations matters within their own teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide timely, practical and commercially focused employee relations advice.
* Manage a high-volume caseload across a designated region.
* Support managers through both informal and formal employee relations processes.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
* Produce and review employee relations documentation and correspondence.
* Maintain accurate records and case management data.
* Deliver coaching and guidance to managers to develop their employee relations capability.
* Analyse trends and contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
