As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils with SEMH needs in both academic and social-emotional learning. Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and differentiated activities. Promote pupils’ emotional resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour in the classroom. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure pupils’ holistic development. Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Requirements for the role of SEMH T A: Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or similar additional needs (school or care setting). A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility and resilience to adapt to the changing needs of pupils throughout the school day. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
