We are seeking an Electronics Design Manager to play a pivotal role within the engineering department. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead a small team of electrical and electronic design engineers, overseeing project delivery, process compliance, and seamless collaboration across departments. This role combines hands-on technical design work with leadership responsibilities, guiding the development of bespoke electronic systems from concept to manufacture. Using a mix of off-the-shelf components and custom interfaces, you'll ensure innovative, robust, and manufacturable designs are delivered on time and to specification. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of electrical/electronics engineers Design schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly documentation Carry out fault finding, testing, and validation of electronic systems Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure cost-effective, practical designs Drive projects to completion within agreed timescales and budgets Key Requirements Proven experience leading a small engineering design team Strong expertise in analogue and digital PCB design (Altium preferred) Skilled in schematic creation and electronic system testing Experience designing with manufacturing in mind Excellent organisational and communication skills Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused approach Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget How to Apply If you're looking for a leadership role where you can stay close to the technology while guiding a talented team, this could be the role for you.
