Responsibilities
* Act as part of the Multidisciplinary Team and actively provide high standards of quality care.
* Demonstrate a high level of nursing assessment and clinical care skills by supporting Band 5 nurses, student nurses and Band 2 HCSWs in their professional development.
* Provide support and advice to patients and their families or carers.
* Facilitate safe, effective and timely discharges of patients.
* Assist with ward management responsibilities and support the Band 7 Ward Manager.

Pay Award
The Agenda for Change Pay Award for 2026/27 is effective from 1 April 2026. Successful applicants with a start date from 1 April onwards will receive a salary as per the 2026/27 pay award.
