Key Responsibilities
1. Start your day in store and be responsible for:
2. Checking your delivery routes for the day.
3. Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together for efficient delivery directly to customers.
4. Completing all appropriate vehicle safety checks on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health, and safety standards.
5. Representing the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service as your priority.
6. Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
7. Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to cope with physical tasks (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
* Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently.
* IT literacy.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Previous experience in a driving role.
* Knowledge of chilled vehicles.
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll bring quality Waitrose products and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors, embodying our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers.
When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly operation.
Part-time (14.5 hours): Friday 13:30-21:30 and Sunday 07:00-15:00.
