Interim Finance Business Partner | Cardiff area/hybrid | 12 months ftc
The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting decision-making processes by providing financial analysis, insights, and recommendations. This role will involve ownership of forecasting, performance tracking, and financial management for the business ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and driving continuous improvement in financial performance.
* Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate closely with leadership team to understand strategic objectives, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, providing financial expertise and insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
* Support decision making by partnering with stakeholders to appraise capital schemes and support the development of business cases for new products, initiatives, and cost-saving measures.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to facilitate informed decision-making, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets.
* Take ownership of forecasting processes including P&L and Balance Sheet forecasts.
* Compile and validate the annual Budget, challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities for optimisation.
* Produce ad hoc forecasts as required to support decision-making and respond to changing business dynamics.
* Track and drive business performance by monitoring key performance indicators, analysing variances, and preparing variance reports.
* Communicate financial performance insights to non-Finance stakeholders, facilitating understanding and alignment with business goals.
Skills, experience:
Qualified accountantACA, ACCA, CIMA
Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or similar role, preferably within a business unit or operational setting.
Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making.
Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and delivering results.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a commercial or manufacturing organisation is essential.
