We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Year 2 teacher who can deliver high-quality teaching and support the school's ethos and values. This is a full-time, maternity cover position, starting in April 2026.
Key responsibilities:
Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum
Support the social and emotional development of pupils
Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning
Promote wellbeing and mindfulness across the classroom
Collaborate with staff to ensure a consistent and inclusive learning environmentThe ideal candidate will:
Hold QTS (or equivalent)
Have proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be committed to holistic child development and wellbeing
Be confident delivering creative, hands-on learning experiences
Be enthusiastic, adaptable and a strong team player
Able to commute to HarpendenLocation: Harpenden
