A forward-thinking secondary school in South Birmingham is seeking a dedicated HR & Recruitment Assistant to support all aspects of staffing, compliance and workforce operations from January 2026. The Role Working within a small HR team, you’ll support safer recruitment, staff onboarding, DBS checks, single central record upkeep and general HR administration. Your responsibilities will include: Placing job adverts and supporting shortlisting paperwork Managing all pre-employment checks and references Ensuring the SCR remains fully compliant Preparing staff contracts, induction packs and documentation Responding to day-to-day HR queries from staff and leaders Maintaining HR files and supporting attendance management processes The School The school is high-performing, well-organised and known for excellent staff culture.
