NAFN Data and Intelligence Services is the UK’s largest public sector shared service, supporting over 450-member organisations with data, intelligence and best practice to prevent and detect fraud, verify claims and recover debt. We are a national not-for-profit organisation hosted by Tameside Council, widely recognised for our integrity, innovation and collaborative working.
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Officer to join our Team to support the successful delivery of projects, including completion of Project Argus, our flagship digital transformation programme. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking to pursue a career in project management.
This brand-new position will support the Service Development Manager and wider Leadership Team to deliver high-quality, well-governed projects and service improvements. You will play a key role in planning and delivering work packages, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and supporting user training and rollout.
You will also act as a vital link between suppliers, external stakeholders and internal teams helping to ensure that projects are completed to time, cost and quality. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same, ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, clarity and getting things done.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Understands the principles of project delivery and can bring energy, organisation and clarity to a busy project environment.
* Has experience of supporting ICT or service development projects and is confident using project tools such as MS Project, Teamwork and Excel.
* Is motivated by purpose, can keep a cool head under pressure, managing multiple priorities and communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
You will also need a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. business, ICT or project delivery).
Even better if you have:
* A project management or service development qualification
* Experience of coordinating testing, managing risks or supporting service rollouts
* An understanding of how public services operate (particularly in local government)
