* Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across clinical and non-clinical areas
* Diagnosing and resolving faults within electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC or building-fabric systems
* Supporting installation, replacement and upgrade work across both large plant and everyday building assets
* Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Trust policies, and regulatory standards relevant to your trade
* Using digital tools such as PDAs, BMS/CAFM systems, and electronic job allocation platforms
* Working independently or as part of a multi-trade team in a live healthcare environment
* Participating in on-call rotas and supporting urgent or emergency repairs when required
* Your work ensures the reliability of essential services from ventilation and heating to plumbing and electrical distribution and supports a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
What You BringEssential
* A recognised Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in your discipline (e.g., Electrical Installation, Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Carpentry/Joinery, HVAC/Building Services)
* Demonstrable experience in maintenance, fault-finding, repair and installation work
* Strong awareness of Health and Safety, safe systems of work, and working in complex environments
* Ability to work independently, manage workloads and adapt to changing priorities
* Good communication skills and confidence liaising with colleagues, contractors and clinical teams
* Willingness to undertake additional training (e.g., HTMs, permit-to-work systems, specialist plant training)
* A can-do attitude, excellent communication skills and ideally experience with fire doors or healthcare environments
Desirable
* Experience working in a healthcare or other highly regulated environment
* Knowledge of relevant legislation or guidance (e.g., HTMs, COSHH, L8 for water systems, PUWER)
* Multi-skilled experience across trades or building systems
* Comfortable using CAFM/BMS platforms or digital maintenance tools
