My client isthe leading manufacturers of equestrian and leisure vehicles, supplying to the UK and overseas. We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer to work closely with the Production Team and guarantee they adhere to the individual stages of the build process, to the quality standards and to guarantee that our products meet customer requirements. This will be achieved by managing a small team responsible for controlling the quality output of production, checking that the correct procedures are followed, investigate and report on quality issues/non-conformances. Main responsibilities: Gaining an understanding of the build process and quality requirements by working closely with Engineering. Review and update the existing build specifications. Gaining an understanding of the client's needs and requirements and communicating them and the quality standards to the production teams. Investigate and resolve internal and external quality complaints. Devising ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods. Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products. Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis. Putting Quality to the top of the Company agenda. Desirable Criteria and Skills: Knowledge of automotive production processes. Proficient in data analysis and problem solving. Proficiency in Quality Engineering and Quality Management. The hours of work are 8:30-17:00 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch.
