Join to apply for the Clinical Associate in Psychology - IMHT Cannock role at MPFT. As a qualified Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP), you will join an adult Integrated Mental Health Team based at Park House, Cannock, working in partnership with Staffordshire Police and Mental Health Services.

Main duties of the job
* Work in a skilled adult community mental health team that offers a range of interventions and support to aid recovery.
* Deliver a high-quality service to service users and their families as part of a collaborative team.
* Be identified as a Key worker with access to regular and robust supervision.
* Provide assessment, formulation and psychologically informed interventions (individual and group) in line with an agreed care plan for service users with a wide range of mental health difficulties.
* Assess care needs (including risk), contribute to formulation and the development of a plan based on negotiated goals and evidence-based interventions.
* With the multi-disciplinary team, provide interventions to meet agreed goals and coordinate/review progress using recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer throughout the clinical pathway.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Honours Degree in Psychology – Single or Joint honours (with substantial relevant experience in research or clinical activities if the award received is 2:2 or less).
* Completion of accredited Clinical Associate in Psychology apprenticeship MSc.
* Evidence of training/CPD to develop knowledge and theory relevant to work in the specialism.
* Eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society via qualification recognition or by alternative route.
Experience
* Experience of working in a Health sector voluntary sector or undertaking local engagement work.
* Experience of working with client groups with serious mental health problems.
Desirable criteria
* Some experience of using psychological test equipment for use in formal testing situations
* Experience of working in a multi-professional team
