Job Title: Care Support Worker - Children & Adolescent Mental Health

Main Duties
* Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients in a friendly, respectful and professional manner.
* Promote patient dignity and privacy.
* Assist in the orientation of patients and new staff to the ward environment.
* Support a patient’s basic admission procedure in preparation for clinician assessment.
* Contribute to, and interpret care plans accurately and consistently.
* Carry out delegated care tasks such as escort duty and encourage patient daily living activities such as personal hygiene and self‑care.
* Assist at mealtimes to ensure patients have an adequate diet and a meal of their choice, and bring any problems to the attention of the Registered Nurse or Shift Co‑ordinator.
* Assist patients in keeping their bed areas tidy and possessions safe.
* The role may also involve additional duties as required.

What You’ll Need
Qualifications:
* Pass Band 3 level Literacy and Numeracy competency at interview.
* Relevant qualification related to mental health issues.
Experience:
* Experience providing care for children (or elderly relatives), with 6–12 months required for independent care provision.
* Experience working on a Children Inpatient ward.
* Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary team.
* or, study as a Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements towards a mental health nursing degree.
Person Specification
* Essential – Experience: Working in CAMHS for the past 2 years in any UK private hospital or NHS Trust.
* Desirable – Experience: Working in CAMHS.
* Essential – Qualifications: Care Certificate or Vocational level 2.
* Desirable – Qualifications: At least 6 months of experience working in CAMHS within the past 2 years.
