Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Paediatric cardiac services
We are seeking a qualified ANP for the Paediatric Cardiac team within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This is a fixed-term position until July 2027, Monday‑Friday 0800‑1800 hrs (full‑time, 4 days per week).
As ANP you will work on the cardiology ward, undertaking admissions, PICU step‑downs, day‑to‑day care, discharge planning and an ANP‑led pre‑assessment clinic for children scheduled for cardiac interventions. You will also conduct remote consultations and contribute to guideline creation, teaching, simulation and audit/research.
Key responsibilities
* Provide assessment, investigations and management of paediatric cardiac patients, considering specific cardiac defects and anatomy.
* Lead pre‑assessment clinic for children awaiting cardiac interventions, preparing patients for procedures.
* Conduct remote consultations and support multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* Involve in guideline creation, teaching, simulation and audit/research to advance paediatric cardiac practice.
Qualifications and requirements
* Registered ANP with a live NMC UK PIN.
* Experience in paediatric or paediatric cardiology practice preferred.
* Strong communication, teaching and audit skills.
