About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) to join a leading engineering consultancy. This is a senior position for someone ready to take a leading role in project delivery, client engagement, and team development. You will be responsible for overseeing electrical design on a range of projects across sectors such as education, healthcare, leisure, and defence. Key Responsibilities Lead the electrical design and coordination of building services systems from concept through to completion Manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high technical standards Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Prepare and review detailed design calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and sustainability targets Support business development activities, including bid preparation and client presentations Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) Significant experience in electrical design within building services consultancy Strong knowledge of UK regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., BS 7671, CIBSE guidance) Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux or similar) What We Offer 24 days holiday publics 7% pension Yearly bonus Private healthcare Hybrid working Flexible working Support towards chartership Morgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
