Assistant Branch Manager – South Essex
Simon Acres Recruitment are looking for a personable, driven, and commercially focused Assistant Branch Manager for a well-established, highly successful, and growing Furniture retailer’s new store in South Essex.
Our client is seeking a strong retail professional who can support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch while continuing to deliver an outstanding customer experience and driving sales performance.
As Assistant Branch Manager, you will play a key role in leading by example on the shop floor, coaching the sales team, and deputising for the Store Manager during periods of absence
Package:
*
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic + Commission + Team Bonus
*
OTE: £55,000 – £60,000
*
Working Hours: 40 hours per week – 5 out of 7 days
Job Specification:
*
Maintain and develop both new and existing customers through excellent customer care and ethical sales methods
*
Lead from the front in achieving both personal and team sales KPIs
*
Deputise for the Store Manager during days off, holidays, or absence, ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations
*
Coach, motivate, and support sales consultants to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and overall performance
*
Act as the first point of escalation for customer enquiries and complaints, resolving issues efficiently and professionally
*
Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, managing situations to successful conclusions
*
Handle telesales calls alongside in-store customer activity
*
Adapt to and promote the use of new technology to enhance the customer experience
*
Support stock replenishment and merchandising, ensuring displays meet company standards
*
Carry out daily cash handling routines and ensure accuracy
*
Adhere to data protection policies and company procedures at all times
*
Change POS materials and update pricing accurately within the store
*
Ensure the store is clean, safe, and presentable at all times

Required Experience:
*
Minimum of 1 year’s retail sales experience
*
Advantageous: Furniture sales experience
*
Advantageous: Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues in a retail environment
