Scheduler/Bill of Quantities Surveyor or Buyer
We are currently looking for a Scheduler/Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Surveyor or Buyer to join our team in Caterham.
Working within the Group Design function and reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your primary responsibility will be to create detailed material schedules/BOQ's of our master house types. You will work closely with other team members and departments to ensure these schedules/BOQ's are up to date and utilised throughout the company.
What you'll be doing:
Based at our office in Caterham, Surrey, you will scrutinise the master working drawings and specification to ensure that the regional teams are provided with accurate material quantities. You will regularly visit site to identify where there is increased material wastage, adjusting the master schedules/BOQ's to suit and contributing to the company objective of understanding and reducing its carbon footprint. Collaboration across teams and departments is key to ensuring smooth progression and successful outcomes.
Skills & knowledge you'll bring:
3 - 5 years relevant experience as a Scheduler/BOQ Surveyor or Buyer for a residential house builder.
Experience and confidence in Scheduling/BOQ's and Take-Offs from Technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent IT and numerical skills (Good working knowledge of COINs, MS Excel and spreadsheets are essential).
Excellent understanding of cost management, the price of products, general construction and how materials are used within dwellings
