This Reception Year Teacher role offers a full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing opportunity starting in September 2026. The Reception Year Teacher will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education, supporting children’s learning, development, and well‑being at a vital stage of their school journey. This role is ideal for a committed Reception Year Teacher who enjoys creating engaging, child‑centred learning experiences within a supportive school environment.
Duties as Reception Year Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
* Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
* Support children’s development across communication, language, social, and early learning skills
* Use observation and assessment to monitor progress and inform next steps
* Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and early years staff
* Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Support smooth transitions into and within early years provision
* Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and development
* Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Reception Year Teacher:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Experience teaching in Reception or early years settings
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
* Creative, patient, and nurturing teaching approach
* Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable and committed to a long-term role
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
