Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Strategic School Business Manager at Dŵr y Felin School, starting on 1st September 2025.
We seek an ambitious, innovative, and dedicated strategist with technical expertise who will be a full-time member of the Senior Leadership Team. The role involves leading support services, resolving problems, and promoting effective management and strategic leadership.
The successful candidate will share the vision and values of Dŵr y Felin School and demonstrate the ability to:
1. Work with the senior leadership team and governing body to provide advice, guidance, and strategic leadership aligning with the school's aims.
2. Ensure all HR policies and procedures are current, adopted by the governing body, and lead HR strategy and operations within the school.
3. Undertake strategic financial planning and advise the headteacher, leadership team, and governors on resource utilization.
4. Ensure all business and financial management functions comply with statutory regulations.
5. Achieve value for money by testing the market, negotiating, and monitoring contracts and services.
6. Promote high standards within the support staff team and ensure effective resource use to support learning objectives.
7. Maximise income from external sources.
