As part of the On-Board Services team, reporting directly into the OBS Management team, you will deliver the on-board assessments, training and development of the Hosts, with the overall aim of having a positive effect on the Catering team KPIs.

This role is to support GWR's Customer Service Training Team by assisting in the training and development of new GWR hosts to the highest standard to enable delivery of the onboard offer. You will also provide support to the On-Board Managers by using your expertise and experience to coach, mentor and assess, as needed, both new and existing on-board hosts. You will assist with the delivery of any new training material or policies, including new equipment, to on board colleagues and you\'ll need to work closely with management. There is the potential to be involved in project work.
What you\'ll be doing
* Plan, organise and undertake the assessment of on-board colleagues.
* Delivery of training including the Safety and Business Briefs, standards and updates on current working methods.
* Timely and accurate completion of documents related to the learning and development of colleagues.
* Continual personal development through relevant training to your role to ensure your skills are in line with best practice for the business
* Assess colleagues in line with the On-Board Competency Management System
* Developing and delivery of future on board assessment tools
* Coach learners who are underperforming in their role, on a one-to-one basis, taking responsibility for meeting with the assigned mentee to help coach and develop them within a clear time frame.
* You will carry out Food Safety Audits so will need to be Food Safety level 3 trained.

As a minimum, you\'ll need to have
* Worked with teams of people
* At least 12 months of On-Board services experience
* Always demonstrated an ability to work under extreme pressure whilst maintaining a professional “can-do” attitude.
* The ability to be a problem solver with a positive and cheerful outlook
* A professional approach, with attention to detail and high level of personal presentation.
* The ability to move into Option 3 link with full flexibility as required.
About the location
Based at Plymouth, all applicants must live no longer than one hour\'s travelling time from the depot.
Working Pattern
You will be on option 3 and full flexibility is required to cover all links\' times.
