Responsibilities
* Direct daily kitchen activities, plan and assign work ensuring appropriate staffing levels
* Develop your team through coaching and feedback; set performance and development goals
* Staff training (induction, health and safety, security, technical and behavioural)
* Initiate HR actions where needed; promote teamwork and a collaborative environment
* Coordinate with other departments to meet kitchen needs and respond timely to requests
* Maintain HACCP, health and safety compliance, and safe storage to minimise waste
* Ensure kitchen equipment and environment are hygienic and functioning
* Follow government regulations and company policies
* Forecasts, plans, and departmental production reports for management; contribute to budgeting and cost control
* Responsible for purchase of goods meeting standards; monitor stock rotation and monthly stock levels
Guest Experience
* Monitor guest satisfaction and encourage feedback to improve service
* Answer guest questions about dishes and kitchen services
Accountability
This job involves working in Kitchen and Food & Beverage areas. Hours include mornings, evenings and weekends. May assist other departments as required and maintain good working relationships.
Essential
* 2 years experience as a Senior Chef de Partie in a restaurant or hotel setting
* Experience of leading and developing others within a kitchen environment
* Food Hygiene Certificate
Desirable
* Experience within the Hospitality Industry as a Chef
* Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate
* NVQ Level 3 Food Preparation and Cooking
