The role As part of the Social Care reforms, we are further developing our Children’s Family Front Door to not only support the great work we already do, but to also develop this further; helping families access the right help and support at the right time. This is an exciting opportunity for a full time highly skilled social worker to join our well-established Initial Contact and Referral Team, at Worcestershire County Council. The role involves processing referrals from a range of partner agencies, parents and carers. This involves working within a busy and fast paced environment, analysing information and making appropriate recommendations in accordance with the Worcestershire level of needs guidance. As part of the family front door your work will be based primarily in one of the three district areas of Redditch/ Wychavon, Worcester /Malvern and Bromsgrove/ Wyre Forest to enable a better understanding of the services available to children, young people and their families and build relationships with partner agencies who regularly contact the family front door. You will be part of a team where a culture of learning, critical thinking and reflective practice is encouraged, with regular individual and group supervision, manageable caseloads, regular team meetings and the support of a stable and permanent management group. Social Workers routinely have access to our Social Work Academy ensuring that they have the right training & CPD opportunities to do their best work and support them in their social work career.
