Full-Time Teaching Assistant (Medical & SEND Support)
Start Date: End of November 2025 (subject to confirmation)
Location: Birkenhead, CH42
School: Ofsted Rated 'Good' Secondary School
Contract: Full-time (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive daily rate (paid weekly via PAYE)
Duration: Initially for the academic year, with potential extension
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide full-time one-to-one support for a student with specific medical and personal care needs at a well-regarded secondary school in Birkenhead (CH42). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a student's educational journey while working in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
Key Requirements:
* Valid First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
* Experience supporting colostomy and bladder bag care
* Experience with feeding tubes and awareness of feeding safety protocols
* Previous experience supporting students with SEND needs, particularly those with communication or emotional health needs
* A caring, patient, and professional approach to student support
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
