Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and personable Temporary Events Assistant to support a variety of events and functions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality and event management sectors, working in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting with organisation, and contributing to the overall success of each event. Duties
* Greet guests, check tickets, and distribute wristbands/VIP packages.
* Assist with organising event logistics, including setup and breakdown of equipment and materials. (Tables, chairs, backdrops.)
* Support with merchandise sales to maximise revenue opportunities.
* Manage time effectively to ensure all event activities run smoothly and on schedule.
* Maintain organisational standards by keeping the event area clean, tidy, and well-presented.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure guest needs are met promptly and efficiently.
* Handle guest enquiries courteously, providing information about the event or venue as required.
* Manage timings and guests with after-show fan-sign/polaroid event.
* Polaroid photographer (Optional.)
Qualifications
* Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or live music events environments is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Proven ability in time management to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
* Upselling experience is desirable but not essential; a proactive attitude towards sales is valued.
* Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required by different events.
* Friendly, approachable manner with a professional demeanour.
