Location: Client sites in London, Gloucester, or Manchester (4 days onsite)
Salary: Minimum £93,000 + benefits
Clearance: Due to the nature of the role you must be cleared to a high vetted level.
Fortice are helping a trusted client, a UK-based tech consultancy delivering cutting-edge digital and data transformation for government and national security clients. They are looking for a Solution Architect to join them in a really exciting opportunity to build a national security capability from the ground up with a close knit team.
As a Cloud Solution Architect, you’ll lead the design and delivery of secure, modern architectures that shape mission-critical systems across government and defence.
Responsibilities:
* Architecting tailored cloud and hybrid solutions using AWS and Azure
* Driving solution development from discovery through delivery
* Supporting pre-sales and client engagement with technical leadership
* Influencing the capability framework and consulting toolkit
* Working closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and enterprise clients to ensure scalable, secure outcomes
Skills:
* Proven experience architecting solutions in central government or defence sectors
* Expertise across AWS, Azure, microservices, containers (Docker/K8s)
* Knowledge of event-driven architecture and integrating COTS solutions
* A clear grasp of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate, etc.)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and pre-sales consulting experience
* eDV clearance (essential)
