How youll play your part
In this role, you will support the various elements of the compliance programme by engaging with departments across MBFS, Mercedes-Benz Insurance Services and Mercedes-Benz UK that carry out regulated activity to ensure a sustainable compliant business. The focus of this role will be supporting the Compliance team, which contributes to the long-term protection of customers and the business.
Main Accountabilities
Provide support with all regulatory returns with the FCAs systems, Connect, Reg Data and Invoicing portal, ensuring they are submitted on time and have been through the necessary quality check and sign off processes.
Provide administration support to the compliance team as required including but not limited to diary management and production of data for committees.
Assist with delivery of a robust and effective monitoring program informed by the Business Compliance Plan, which endorses a transparent and customer-focused conduct culture. Provide accurate reports of activity, evidence whether the business is meeting regulatory requirements, highlight issues of non-compliance and communicate them effectively to mitigate compliance risk.
Assist with the implementation of mandatory compliance training for MBFS, MBIS and MBUK staff. Raise awareness of compliance topics across the group to promote a positive conduct culture.
Support the Business Controls team as required, including the financial crime framework, training of DMO topics and liaison between Regulatory and Controls issues.
Responsibility for management of the Compliance team topics, including internal team communications, secretarial support to the compliance committee and team meetings.
About You
Ability to develop a comprehensive (specialist) knowledge of the FCA conduct compliance regime, underpinned by an ability to interpret and apply regulatory principle and detail in an evolving environment.
Evidence of continuous professional development activity, ideally within a financial services or consumer credit industry.
An understanding of the group compliance programmes, policies and guidelines.
Proven track record of operating in a high-performance environment, continuously achieving high-level results.
Strong analytical skills and high levels of attention to detail and accuracy, youll be able to review and interpret complex information and regulation and be able to translate your understanding into practical, commercially useful advice.
A good communicator and team player - open, engaging, assertive and persuasive communicator able to relate the regulatory requirements to business objectives and explain and/or explore suitable approaches. Must create good working relationships with all areas of the business to enable effective review work. Some influencing is required.
Well organised, numerate and IT literate.
