Trust Registrar at ST1 – ST2 Level, Obstetrics and Gynaecology
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Trust Registrar at ST1/2 level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The successful candidate will work at both the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and the new West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven. The role involves participation in the provision of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services to the population of North Cumbria (Lake District).

Key Responsibilities
* Work within the Junior Doctor rota and progress to Senior Registrar rota upon achieving competencies.
* Collaborate with nursing, allied health professionals, managers and administrative staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Work closely with specialist teams and contribute to service improvements.
* Participate in clinical meetings and postgraduate activities.
* Provide teaching to Junior Doctors, Medical Students and other multidisciplinary team members.
* Undertake personal development, mandatory training and pursue research/teaching projects.
* Demonstrate commitment to Clinical Governance, including clinical audit and Risk Management.

Person Specification
* Full registration with the General Medical Council
* MRCOG Part 1
Training
* At least six months training in general obstetrics and gynaecology
* ALSO & PROMT or MOET certification
Experience
* Working knowledge of general gynaecology
* Interest in research and evidence‑based medicine
* Evidence of continuing professional development and audit improvement
* Ability to motivate and lead multidisciplinary teams
* Experience of teaching medical students and postgraduate doctors
