Paediatric Neuropsychologist
Location: The Portland Hospital, London
Contract type: Bank - 18.75 hours per week
Pay: Bank hourly rate dependent upon shift and experience. Rates inclusive of WTR include an additional amount payable on claiming accrued annual leave. WTR is calculated on the average hourly pay rate over the past 52 weeks and may differ from the amount included in the above WTR rates.
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Child Psychologist or Neuropsychologist with experience in neuropsychological assessment to join our multidisciplinary team. You will work with children with various neuro disabilities in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Conduct psychological assessments and tests for diagnostic purposes.
* Perform neuropsychology formulation, assessment, and provide recommendations.
* Develop individualized treatment plans for children and their families.
* Educate families on supporting their child's needs and responding to behaviors.
* Provide psychological consultation within the multidisciplinary team.
* Engage in teaching and training activities.
* Maintain complete documentation of assessments and treatments in accordance with policies.

Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree and graduate degree in psychology, with a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or child psychology.
* Several years of clinical experience with children with neurological deficits.
* Additional training in neuropsychological assessment in children/adolescents.
* Post-doctoral candidates may be preferred.
* Approachable and empathetic to children from diverse backgrounds.
* Knowledge of various therapeutic methods and adaptable to meet individual needs.
* Excellent communication skills across age groups and cultures.
* Compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
* Willingness to participate in meetings and relevant seminars.
