Overview
Interim Commissioning Service Manager within Adults Commissioning in Salisbury, UK, earning £550 per day on an ongoing contract. Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies for commissioning services that effectively meet the needs of adults requiring statutory services, prevention, and early help.
* Manage key relationships with local NHS partners, the voluntary sector, and user-led organisations to deliver a cohesive service.
* Oversee quality assurance and contract management to ensure high standards across all commissioned services.
* Use data-driven insights for demand forecasting, market development, and sustainability.
* Handle the operational aspects of commissioning, including performance management and risk assessment.
* Provide oversight on budget management, actively seeking innovative solutions to achieve cost efficiencies.
* Support the development and implementation of preventative services that help individuals maintain independence.
* Ensure safeguarding of individuals and the provision of individualized care in coordination with health and social care services.
Requirements
* A degree in a relevant subject or extensive experience in evidenced-based commissioning.
* Significant experience in adults commissioning and in working alongside regulating bodies like the CQC.
* Expert knowledge of Adults commissioning legislation and a Level 7 qualification in leadership and management.
* Proficiency in managing high-stakes situations and delivering at a strategic level in politically diverse settings.
* Experience in driving partnership working across health, social care, and voluntary sectors.
* Strong budget management skills with a track record of innovatively achieving savings and improvements.
