Functional Safety Engineer
Our client is an innovative company in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, specializing in modular and scalable EV platforms designed for a wide range of applications. They are seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to join their System Architecture team, focusing on the concept and implementation aspects of the ISO 26262 standard (Parts 3 to 6).
Key Responsibilities
Conduct functional safety analyses in accordance with ISO 26262.
Identify safety gaps, propose improvements, and define safety requirements.
Collaborate with design and control engineering teams to review system and software designs.
Ensure safety requirements are complete, consistent, and correctly implemented.
Support ISO 26262 process implementation and maintenance throughout the product lifecycle.
Assist testing teams in deriving safety-related test cases and preparing documentation for software validation, integration, and unit testing.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Safety Engineer.
Strong knowledge of ISO 26262.
Experience with requirements generation and management systems.
Certified Level 2 Safety Reviewer.
Strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and cross-functional collaboration ability.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in software development, including:
Software requirement specification
Architecture specification
Low-level design specification
Relevant testing
Deep understanding of ISO 26262 Part 6 and ASIL-related software development.
Experience with by-wire systems.
Background as a Control Engineer.
